It can be painful and frustrating to find yourself feeling either stuck or experiencing the same situations and results no matter what you do. I can help you to start living your life from a place of choice, cultivating a greater understanding of yourself and coming to a deeper awareness and acceptance of who you are at your core. I can help you soften a strong inner critic and learn to listen to a more compassionate voice.
Whether you are coming from a history of trauma or are simply overwhelmed and struggling to find your way in an ever more chaotic world, I can work with you to find a calmer, more resilient sense of self; grounding you and energizing you.
I will be there with you to uncover old, outdated beliefs, coping strategies, and defensive mechanisms that no longer serve you and help you discover the parts of yourself that know how to care for you and guide you to make new choices and find new ways of approaching your life.
I approach this work from the stance of relational connection and trusting that a part of you knows what is best for you. I use IFS (a kind of parts work that goes inward to examine what lies deep inside of you), Gestalt (another kind of parts work that is more externally focused), somatic work (working with the body), attachment work (looking at childhood or relational wounding), and trauma sensitivity to help you find more compassion and care for yourself.
I work with people who:
have had complex or difficult childhoods that continue to impact their lives.
are either ready to make a big change or are in the middle of doing so. Whether that’s a relationship change, a shift in work, or wanting to make some important adjustments in your life.
are ready to live their lives from a place of choice rather than a place of reactivity or overwhelm.
want to change their relationship with themselves—away from self-judgment and criticism towards self-acceptance and self-compassion.
are looking for help navigating their most important relationships, including help with learning how to communicate more clearly.
are grieving—both literally and figuratively.
have attachment issues that they want to unpack.
men who are wanting to be more intimate in their relationships.
